报告摘要：
The geometric compactifications of moduli spaces of higher dimension varieties were studied by Kollar, Shepherd-Barron and Alexeev around 30 years ago. We will introduce some fundamental results on compactification of moduli of hyperplane arrangements by matroid theory. Then we will give some generalizations of this tool and apply it on a special family of CY 3-folds.
报告人简介：
Xian Wu is a postdoc working at Jagiellonian University in Poland. He got his phd in University of Georgia supervised by Valery Alexeev and Noah Giansiracusa. He did his undergraduate study at Jilin University. His research mainly focuses on birational geometry, compactification of moduli and Calabi-Yau manifolds.
