题目: Precision Medicine Through Analytic Morphomics
摘要:here is a great degree of heterogeneity among patients. For example, the survival time for patients with cirrhosis can vary from two years to over ten years. Understanding tempo of disease and predicting timing of disease progression is very important to efficient use of healthcare utilization. In our center, we conducted high-throughput imaging analysis on computed tomography (CT) scans, which provides precise measurements of organs and tissues. The new high-dimensional phenotype data are called morphomics. We have shown that morphomics can better capture the differences among patients, and predict various outcomes better than traditional risk factors. This provides us the ability to develop more personalized risk prediction on disease progression and mortality.
