Profile of the presenter: Tien-Son Pham is a professor at Dalat University in Vietnam and a doctoral supervisor. He has long been engaged in research on singular theory, semi-algebraic optimization, variational analysis, and related fields. He has published more than 70 academic papers in top-tier optimization journals such as Mathematical Programming, SIAM Journal on Optimization, and Mathematics of Operations Research, and has authored one academic monograph. In 2020, he was awarded the Ta Quang Buu Prize by the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology. He was also selected as one of the \"100 Outstanding Asian Scientists\" in 2021 (this list, initiated by Asian Scientist magazine in 2016, annually recognizes scientists who have made significant breakthroughs in scientific research or received national/international awards). He currently serves as a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Mathematics, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
