报告摘要:

Seismic performance is critical to the integrity of structures. Installing dampers is an effective way to improve the seismic performance of structures. However, traditional design methods can not realize the optimal layout of dampers to improve the seismic performance. In this paper, a topology optimization method for the damper layout in structures based on bidirectional evolutionary structure optimization (BESO) is proposed. The optimization problem is to minimize the maximum inter-story drift variance among all floors subjected to a specified maximum number of viscous dampers, and the Kreisselmeier-Steinhauser (KS) function is employed to approximate the non-smoothing objective function. At the same time, an efficient algorithm based on the pseudo excitation method (PEM) is introduced to calculate the frequency-domain stochastic seismic response of the non-proportionally damped structures during the topology optimization process. This algorithm ensures response accuracy while saving computational resources and CPU time. Two numerical examples show the practicability and effectiveness of the proposed method.

吴柏生,广东工业大学教授。主要从事结构静动力重分析与拓扑优化,超材料设计,非线性振动与结构稳定性等方向研究。目前,已发表SCI收录论文130余篇,被SCI期刊他引2500余次。连续多年入选斯坦福大学发布全球前2%顶尖科学家“终身科学影响力”榜单。
