Report summary:

This talk is concerned with some recent developments in the inverse scattering problems with phaseless data. Based upon our previous studies on the uniqueness issues in phaseless inverse acoustic scattering theory, this talk is served as a brief overview. I will outline the relevant rudiments comprising prototypical model problems, major progress so far as well as the rationale behind the basic techniques, in an attempt to sort out the essential ideas and shed further lights on this field.

Brief introduction of the speaker:

Guo Yukun, associate professor of the School of Mathematics, Harbin Institute of Technology, graduated from the Institute of Mathematics of Jilin University in 2010 with a Ph.D. in computational mathematics. The current research field is mathematical physics inverse problems, and the main direction is the numerical analysis and calculation of wave equation backscattering problems. He has published more than 20 SCI-searched academic papers in journals such as "Inverse Problems", "Journal of Differential Equations" and "Journal of Computational Physics". He also presided over 1 general project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 youth fund and 1 project of the Tianyuan Fund for Mathematics, participated in 1 major research project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and 3 general projects. He has been invited to visit the University of Delaware in the United States, the Institute of Applied Mathematics in Wilstrass in Germany, Hong Kong Baptist University and Southern University of Science and Technology to conduct scientific research cooperation.
