On January 5th, the 2023 Annual Expanded Meeting of the Academic Committee of the National Tianyuan Mathematics Northeast Center was held at the Central Campus of Jilin University via a hybrid online-offline format. Zhang Xi, an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and President of Jilin University, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Experts from the 9th Academic Leadership Group of the Tianyuan Fund for Mathematics, members of the Academic Committee of the National Tianyuan Mathematics Northeast Center, renowned domestic scholars, and heads of mathematics departments and faculty representatives from 26 co-constructing institutions of the Center.
At the meeting, Zhang Ran, the Project Leader of the National Tianyuan Mathematics Northeast Center, reported on the center's construction progress and work plan, covering aspects such as preparation efforts, activity formats, and construction achievements. The meeting also selected outstanding young scholars for the Tianyuan Mathematics Northeast Center.
