The 2026 Editorial Board Work Meeting of "Mathematical Research Communications" was held at Jilin University

On the morning of May 17, the 2026 Editorial Board Work Meeting of "Mathematical Research Communications" was held in the First Conference Room of the Dongrong Conference Center, Central Campus, Jilin University.

The journal editors-in-chief who attended the meeting included Professor Tang Tao from South China University, Guangzhou, and Professor Wu Jianhong from York University, Canada. The journal editorial board members who attended the meeting included Professor Liu Jianya from Shandong University, Professor Fan Huijun from Wuhan University, Researcher Hong Jialin from the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Jiang Chunlan from Hebei Normal University, Professor Lei Zhen from Fudan University, Professor Li Jiayu from Nanjing University, Professor Li Yong from Jilin University, Professor Liu Zhenxin from Dalian University of Technology, Professor Wang Dehui from Liaoning University, Professor Wang Xuefeng from the School of Science and Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Professor Wei Yimin from Fudan University, Professor Xiang Qing from Southern University of Science and Technology, Professor Zhang Xue from Northeastern University, and Professor Zhou Tao from the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Professor Zhang Ran, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Jilin University, as well as an editorial board member of the Journal of Mathematical Research Communications, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The meeting was presided over by Professor Wang Chunpeng, Dean of the School of Mathematics at Jilin University and an editorial board member of the Journal of Mathematical Research Communications.

In her speech, Zhang Ran, on behalf of the university, warmly welcomed all the editorial board members and fully acknowledged their long-term meticulous guidance and dedicated work for the development of the journal. She pointed out that as an important academic journal in the field of mathematics in China, the Journal of Mathematical Research, relying on the profound foundation of the mathematics discipline at Jilin University, carries an important mission in promoting fundamental mathematical research and serving the development of the mathematics field. From Northeast Mathematics to the Journal of Mathematical Research, from a university-hosted journal to being indexed by top international databases such as Scopus, the journal has undergone a path of relentless effort and continuous advancement. In the future, the university will continue to support the construction and development of the journal, hoping that the editorial board, with a more open mindset, stricter standards, and a more forward-looking perspective, will continue to attract high-quality submissions, enhance academic influence, and build the Journal of Mathematical Research into a world-class mathematics academic journal, making greater contributions to the development of mathematical research in China and worldwide.

At the meeting, Tang Tao and Wu Jianhong, editors-in-chief of "Mathematical Research Communications", each presided over discussion sessions. Participants engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics such as the journal's academic positioning, topic planning, submission quality, and talent cultivation.

Sheng Yunhe, Associate Dean of the School of Mathematics at Jilin University and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of "Mathematical Research Communications", reported on the journal's development at the meeting.

It is reported that Mathematical Research Communications is a comprehensive English-language academic quarterly in mathematics, supervised by the Ministry of Education and sponsored by Jilin University. It was first published in December 1985 and mainly publishes high-quality original academic papers and review articles in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, computational mathematics, and statistics. The journal aims to reflect research achievements in the field of mathematics both domestically and internationally, and to promote the development and advancement of mathematics disciplines in China.
