报告摘要:
In the talk, we show the shock formation to the two-dimensional rotating shallow water system with a large class of initial data. The formation of shock is characterized by the collapse of the characteristic hypersurfaces, where the first-order derivatives of the velocity, the height, and the specific vorticity blow up while the potential vorticity remains Lipschitz continuous. The key observation is that the coupling between the vorticity wave and the acoustical waves is weak; meanwhile, the potential vorticity is conserved along the particle path. Furthermore, the shock development for the 1D pressureless shallow water equations is established. This is the joint work with Meiyu Wang and Chunjing Xie.

陈桢栋,2022年于香港中文大学博士毕业。2024-2026年在上海交通大学做博士后,现在华南师范大学入职。主要研究方向是偏微分方程。
