Sino-Russian Mathematics Center Class A Base

The Sino-Russia Mathematics Center was established on June 29, 2020. Led by Peking University and Lomonosov Moscow State University of Russia, and relying on the "Double First-Class" Construction Alliance for Mathematics, it is jointly built by relevant domestic institutions including the University of Science and Technology of China, as well as Russian universities and research institutes such as Saint Petersburg State University. The Center aims to lead the development of mainstream mathematical research, cultivate outstanding talents, enhance scientific and technological innovation capabilities, and promote cooperation and exchanges among mathematicians worldwide.

On May 14, 2021, the Symposium on the Development and Construction of the Sino-Russia Mathematics Center Class A Base (Jilin University) was successfully held at the Dongrong Conference Center of Jilin University. Zhang Jiping, director of the Sino-Russia Mathematics Center & academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Boya Chair Professor of Peking University, and Zheng Weitao, then-executive vice president of Jilin University, attended the symposium and delivered speeches. Relying on Jilin University's long-standing resource advantages and geographical advantages in cooperation with prestigious Russian universities, especially the distinctive strengths of its mathematics discipline, the Sino-Russia Mathematics Center Class A Base (Jilin University) will further focus on basic theoretical research and innovative practice, extensively recruit outstanding talents, and strive to achieve greater accomplishments in original innovative research and talent echelon development.
