Abstract:
Given an algebra equipped with a Rota-Baxter operator (of arbitrary weight), we construct a double structure that generalizes the Drinfeld double construction for Lie bialgebras. We prove that numerous classical properties of Rota-Baxter algebras can be directly derived as simple corollaries of this construction. Additionally, we will discuss potential generalizations of the weight concept for Rota-Baxter operators.
